The building you see in these images is The Pavilion, or as the locals still fondly call it, The Welly. Our story began in 1924, when Rolls-Royce established us as a recreational society for their workers. Back then, it was known as the Rolls-Royce Recreational Society, a hub for relaxation, community, entertainment, and the finest bowling greens in Derby. While the bowls may have taken a back seat, our legendary cheesy chip cobs are still going strong!

Through the years, we've evolved into Derby Leisure & Events (though many still know us as Rolls-Royce Leisure). From our famous tribute events, soul nights, to conferences, weddings, and private functions, we even have our own on site fitness centre and gym! We’re a diverse venue that brings people together.

Once a members-only club, we’re now open to everyone—offering a welcoming space for all occasions. Whether you're here for an event, a workout, visiting our Rolls-Royce company store, or just a bite to eat, we’re proud to continue the legacy of this beloved venue.
